THE EU RULES

One directive. One taxonomy. One assurance path.

CSRD sets the obligation, ESRS sets the content, and the sustainability statement must be machine-readable. Here is what each requires, and what we do about it.

CSRDDIRECTIVE
Requires: A sustainability statement in the management report on material impacts, risks and opportunities.
How we help: We run the double materiality assessment and write the full statement.
ESRSSTANDARDS
Requires: Every disclosure structured to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.
How we help: We map each datapoint, from general disclosures to E, S and G topics.
Digital taggingiXBRL
Requires: The sustainability statement marked up to the ESRS digital taxonomy so it is machine-readable.
How we help: We tag the statement in iXBRL and validate it before submission.
Double materialityFOUNDATION
Requires: Impact and financial materiality assessed both ways before anything is reported.
How we help: We document topics, thresholds and method so the assessment survives audit.
Limited assuranceEXTERNAL
Requires: External assurance over the materiality process, the disclosures and the taxonomy reporting.
How we help: We build the audit trail and answer the assurance provider’s questions.
EU Taxonomy & SFDRALIGNMENT
Requires: Taxonomy-eligible and aligned activity KPIs; sustainability disclosures for financial market participants.
How we help: We calculate the KPIs and prepare consistent, evidenced disclosures.
Not directly in scope?
Suppliers to in-scope EU groups are already being asked for value-chain data under ESRS. We help you produce it once, in a format your customers accept.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CSRD and ESRS reporting, answered.

The Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (Directive (EU) 2022/2464) requires in-scope companies to publish a sustainability statement in their management report, prepared under the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), based on a double materiality assessment, subject to limited assurance and digitally tagged. It replaced the Non-Financial Reporting Directive.
